Our Story

 

We are Jesi and Roy, two urban farmers helping others eat healthy.

We organically grow microgreens to satisfy your munchies!

Our goal is to make an impact in the local community by providing chefs, local establishments, farmers markets, and residents the most sustainable and high quality greens.

At 25, Roy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Finding out you have Type 1 Diabetes at 25 is almost unheard of. Needless to say, our lives drastically changed after that. We started learning more about healthy eating habits as it coincides with his new way of life. We stumbled upon microgreens and all their amazing properties, and fell in love with the idea of having fresh greens in our kitchen ready to cut, whenever we wanted.

We started with Cilantro because, well, we are obsessed with it. We learned that Rainbow Swiss Chard and Pea Shoots have blood sugar controlling properties and tried those. Then, Roy's family members wanted some microgreens, our friends wanted some microgreens, and eventually we started realizing we could help our community eat healthier, too!

We started researching what it would take to do home deliveries and Farmers Market Pick-ups, and Munchie Micros came soon after. Since then we have thrived in the small area south of the capital with our subscription model, and with all the wisdom, we learned at every curve, we expanded our reach to the city we truly love, Austin. We cant wait to see what other opportunities open up for us. We are excited to continue our story!
